Cars in German City Found Covered with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement State

Authorities stated they were alerted by a man who noticed a vehicle in Hanau covered with reddish liquid

Roughly fifty vehicles have been smeared with what seems to be human blood in the Germany's town of Hanau near Frankfurt, police confirm law enforcement.

Automobiles, exterior walls and postal boxes were vandalized, occasionally with prohibited symbols, they stated in a official communication.

Police say they were notified during the night on Wednesday evening, when a resident discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy neighborhood of Hanau had been covered with a reddish substance.

The liquid had been drawn in the shape of a banned symbol, they reported.

Officers then discovered numerous other marked vehicles and house walls in the surrounding area.

Swastikas are illegal in Germany under regulations prohibiting the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials report early analysis suggest the substance was probably blood from a person.

"There is still no clue as to its origin; authorities are presently not informed of any physical harm in connection with the event," they added.

City officials said they were working "to resolve the incident" and have appealed to the residents for information.

A senior representative stated the incident left him without words and had to be addressed promptly.

"This act hits the center of Hanau and revives the pain of the right-wing terrorist attack five years ago," he wrote on online, referring to the murder of nine victims by a assailant aiming at residents of foreign heritage in 2020.
